No inspirational photos today, folks.
I got to the very top of the yoke of the Skiers cardigan. I cast off at the front necks, decreasing away... Then the bright idea popped into my head to count some stitches.
I had more stitches on one sleeve than on the other!
I had more little knitted tree motifs on one sleeve than on the other!
I had neglected, way back at the underarm, to cast off a few stitches before beginning the raglan decreases.
I am a big dummy and the creator of this stupid mess, and now I have to frog and reknit the whole frickin' frackin' yoke.
Luckily there is chocolate in the house.
oh no!! i'm so sorry, what a pain... i'm glad you had some chocolate available to take solace in!
ReplyDeleteOh noes! I hope it is mostly better by now.
ReplyDeleteNooo! (Thank goodness for chocolate).
ReplyDeleteOh Mary - you may need more than chocolate...
ReplyDeleteARGH! So sorry; and good luck with the re-knitting...
ReplyDeleteThink of it as the rough draft or sloppy copy the teacher always made us write even thought we really didn't need it (ahem!). Now you're going for your perfect finished draft and the chocolate is the little gold foil star the teacher is going to put at the top of your paper next to the big A+.
ReplyDeleteyeah! for the easter chocolate!
ReplyDeleteas Micheal Jackson says
"this is why we have rehearsal"
now you get to knit the little trees one more time!
oh no! i'm so so sorry! don't worry, we've all been there at some point. it'll all be worth it in the end!
