Update on greenness

Just some random green things.

These extraterrestrial-looking buds open out into giant hot pink flowers, which I think is pretty cool.

This is our kids' elementary school. I remember, years ago, going with the grade 1s out to plant muscari bulbs among the bushes here. One neighbour tended the garden here for decades, long after her child left the school. Then one day some schoolboard employees came along and ripped it all out! Lame excuses were made but all that remains is about a foot of mulch all over everything. I hope I can post a happy updated picture in a few months, but I doubt it.

The other day we went to the McMichael gallery, about an hour's drive from here. My neighbour's sister has a show on there now, and this was taken in the garden outside. Well worth a trip.

Lastly, a cool green cup of hot tea. I continue to test out the heirloom teacups to see which are nice to use. This one's handle is not all that comfortable, but it is lovely.
