The other day Stephen suggested that he needed an eye-shade to block out the nasty sunshine during his attempted afternoon naps in his office. Of course I have a pattern for an eye-shade, in Rachael Matthews' fun and funky Knitorama! Quick to knit, even with knitting DK cotton on 3.25 mm needles! My first picot hem, too!
It's a bit big for Elaine, but I think it'll work fine for any professorial napping. I could attach elastic around the head, for those naps on airplanes or other places where you can't just lie back and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
You have no idea how much better I will feel during my phd defense when I think about this post!
ReplyDeleteMy 15yo's favorite pjs are a pink and black cami and boxer set with little white sheep on them (she is also a Mary and collects sheep). The set came with a little black eye mask (with the elastic strap) that has an embroidered sheep snoozing on each eye. Mary never wore it so she gave it to my 6yo daughter. It cracks me up every time I go into her room late at night to replace the covers (she is an active sleeper) and find her with the eye mask on. And the night light so "the room won't be too dark"!
