November 5

Today will be a day of laundry and cleaning up a bit, because my dear spouse is arriving from Toronto tonight. That means we'll be able to put up the light in the kitchen and put together the latest Ikea purchase, a cupboard for the dining room.

But first, a walk around Lost Lagoon while the sun shines.

It was totally calm, the sun was blazing away in the south: stunning.

Those leaves you see are not in the water; they are reflections of the few leaves left on the tree. The picture doesn't really show how great it looked, but it was very cool.

Lots of evergreens around, so the deciduous trees with their leaves still on make quite the statement.

I did a quick walk yesterday in the rain and picked up a few leaves. This morning they were dry and ready to be stuck in a mug on the table. These colours are so great!

And now, a few short hours after my walk in the park, the clouds are back. Changeable, that's what Vancouver weather is.
